Sanskrit Syllable Spells – “Kshang” (Spiritual & Worldly Knowledge)
“The “Ali Kali” (the 16 vowels and 34 consonants of the Sanskrit language) are the source of all secret mantras, knowledge mantras, and dharani mantras. They all appear from the single expression of self-existing and indestructible essence bindu of luminosity that is indivisible from the syllable “Ah”.” ~ Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche
In Tantra, the sacred syllable is seen as the essence of creation. The syllables which rest on the petals of your chakras create the senses and elements of your body, and your mind is composed of a “cloud of syllables”.
In this sense, each sacred syllable of the Tantric Sanskritic tradition carries with it its own special purpose and meaning. In this series we present the meaning taken from the system of the prolific researcher and scholar of Tantra who authored the text Layayoga: The Definitive Guide to the Chakras and Kundalini; Shyam Sundar Goswami.
We’ve taken the internal “bija” or “seed” of each syllable and worked it into a 30-minute long invocation which will take you into a deep state of meditation upon the essence of the seed within your nadis and chakras.
